Pastor Sevag Melkonian

With heartfelt gratitude to God, I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ.

My journey into pastoral ministry began in Aleppo, Syria, where I was raised in a deeply Christian family. From my earliest days in Sunday school, the love of Jesus Christ filled my heart. This love deepened during a youth conference in Aleppo, where I surrendered my life to Him as Lord and Savior. A profound desire to serve Him as a full-time minister ignited within me.

My faith has grown stronger over the past fifteen years, and the call to serve has become increasingly clear. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Aleppo University and a second Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Management from a Canadian institution. In 2022, I answered God's call by enrolling in a Master of Divinity program at Tyndale University Seminary.

I am deeply honored to serve as your pastor at the First Armenian Church of Belmont. My fervent desire is to help our congregation and the wider community grow in their faith and experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

As we journey together, let us remember the words of 2 Corinthians 4:5: "For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake."
